What is photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is the art and science of obtaining reliable information from noncontact imaging about the Earth and its environment, and other physical objects and is the processes through recording, measuring, analyzing and representation. The simplest way to look at it is that the distance between two points that lie on a plane parallel to the photographic image plane can be determined by measuring their distance on the image, if the scale (s) of the image is known. This is done by multiplying the measured distance by 1/s. Now take multiple images in a grid and you are able to accurately determine dimensions.
Aerial photogrammetry as UAVs Of Damocles provides it, is a modern software driven photogrammetry service that uses our aircraft fleet to collect photographs from the air and bleeding edge software to create 3D models of the area surveyed. Aerobotika uses combination of extremely precise GPS coordinates, a grid flying autopilot, and high resolution cameras to produce the data that its customers need. How accurate is it? Like with many things, the answer is “It depends”. There are many factors when collecting this kind of data and we can provide data varying in accuracy from 7 CM per pixel down to 3 CM per pixel. We can also fly lower and slower to take more pictures and have more points of reference to produce more accurate 3D
UAVs Of Damocles is working with a technology called Normalized Difference Vegetation Index that was previously only available through he deployment of satellite based electro-optical sensor arrays and was a service typically only provided by NASA and other satellite operators (http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/MeasuringVegetation).

With our near-infrared cameras we are able to give an aerial overview of a vineyard or field to show the health of the vegetation on the ground. NDVI is a process that takes our near infrared images and converts them to a format that shows where vegetation is healthy and flourishing and stressed and at risk. With this information, a farmer can pinpoint troubled areas and look closer at the plans to mitigate the issues.

We have filmed multiple houses in the Washington state & Atlanta Ga. area in 2014 providing aerial video and photography media used on real estate agent websites and housing databases. Our service allows you to capture far more interesting and close up shots than traditional aerial video.
Working with Us
Look and feel of the video and photos often depend on the weather, this can make it difficult to pick a specific day to capture the property. We can plan for a specific week and then after reviewing the weather forecast we can determine the best day. We will drive to the property and then launch the best drone to capture the appropriate photos (takes roughly 30 minutes) or video (50 minutes) per property. After the property has been captured we are able to deliver the media within a few business days after have had time to edit (generally done on days with poor flying conditions). If there is a specific deadline you need to meet, we are able to work with you to get the media on time.
Pricing
Aerial photography of a residential property can start as low as $175 per property which includes 5-12 high resolution photos depending on how many unique angles exist. Aerial video can start as low as $350 and includes the HD edited footage with music AND includes 5-12 high resolution aerial photos. We can add a professional voice over to enrich the viewing experience.
